Rossy de Palma opened yesterday afternoon, at the Teatro Municipal a cycle of films that the Consel de Mallorca dedicated to the actress best-known of the island. Rossy de Palma has been received by the Vice President of Cultura, Patrimoni y Deportes, Joan Rotger, who was present at the inauguration of the cycle tribute to him and congratulated for his career. Pedro Barbadillo, director of the Mallorca Film Commission, and Xisco Bonnin, director of Archivo del sonido y la imagen, also attended the first screening of the film, as well as fellow actress Rossy de Palma in the band 'Peor Imposible' Toni Socias and Fernando Estrellas.
The film chosen for the premiere of a tribute to actress Rossy de Palma was 'Kika', a film directed by Pedro Almodovar in 1993. In subsequent sessions, the public can watch 'Un cos al bosc', directed by Joaquim Jordan in 1996, and will be screened on Tuesday 15 May, 'El embolao', a French production of 2002 will be screened on Thursday 24 May, and finally, 'Miss Tacuarembó', a co-production between Uruguay, Argentina and Spain, very recent, in 2010.
All screenings will be preceded by a brief introduction by the film critic Javier Matesanz, and will be held at 20.30 in the hall of the Teatre Municipal 'Catalina Valls'.
